Skin rejuvenation
Fractional ablative resurfacing is a well-established treatment in the aesthetic community. It consists of vaporizing aged tissue on the surface of the epidermis causing minimal thermal injury. Non-ablative fractional resurfacing, which takes longer to appear, uses much more heat and works deep down, near the dermis, where the collagen is found.
The HALO, used at the DCL clinic, combines the two types of resurfacing and accelerates the effects of the treatment (usually in 1 or 2 sessions) on tissue regeneration with a minimum of recovery time (24 hours). Older technologies took 5 to 6 sessions to achieve similar results. The HALO also provides increased comfort since the combination of the two types of resurfacing helps limit thermal injury.
All skin types can be treated, both on the face and the body. The most popular regions are: neck, chest, arms, legs and hands.
Here are the different issues that can be treated by the HALO laser:
- Wrinkles and fine lines
- Reduce appearance of pores
- Treatment of hyperpigmentary spots / photodamage / other dyschromia
- Skin resurfacing
- Signs of aging
- Medical dermatology (eg: actinic keratosis)
