Cellulite

Cellulite

Cellulite is a superficial deposit of fat located under the skin, which may appear like the surface of the skin of an orange. It is the result of an energy imbalance linked to food where the energy intake is more important than the energy expenditure. There is therefore storage in the form of fat.

The management of cellulite is limited and consists mainly of controlling overweight, and sometimes surgery. There are a multitude of treatments available in aesthetics and massage therapy to reduce cellulite. Unlike surgical procedures, these treatments mobilize fat, but do not evacuate it. It is therefore necessary to combine it with a suitable diet and sporting activity. These treatments do not allow cellulite to disappear in the long term.

Most products will act on one or two factors such as the fatty component, the aqueous component or the fibrous component. Slimming creams act on water retention with draining active ingredients and on the fatty component with caffeine or derivatives having proven their effectiveness on the reduction of adipocytes. Certain devices such as mechanical pinch-roll or cellular stretching act on the fibrous component by stimulating the recycling of collagen and by stimulating microcirculation.

Coolsculpting and VANQUISH are very interesting alternatives to surgery. These are the only non-surgical treatments that specifically eliminate fat through heat shock. The surgical alternative may be considered for a definitive solution when other non-invasive treatments have not given the desired results.
